White gold earrings with butterflies and keshi pearls.
Keshi pearls are baroque shaped pearls. They are a natural by-product in the creation of pearls. Occasionally, there may be a loose piece of nacre in the mussel. These pieces are covered by the mussel or oyster with layers of nacre and, usually, form whimsically shaped pearls. These pearls are called "keshi pearls" or "keshi's." Due to the whimsical shape, the pearls are very different, so it is also special to find two that match as a pair for earrings.
These earrings are made of the super white 19 karat white gold. This is a unique kind of white gold. Traditional white gold has a yellowish hue and is therefore, often rhodium plated. This means that a thin layer of white rhodium is applied. Unfortunately, this layer wears off with frequent wearing of the jewellery. This new white gold is super white and therefore, does not need rhodium. It remains a beautiful pure white, even with constant wear.
This is a unique piece of jewellery, there is only 1 pair!
