How to get an entire kitchen on a ring!

It was a pleasure to make this ring!
I could use all my skills and go the extra mile with the details and making of the small parts.

A lucky lady was allowed to have something made by me as a gift. She had been a professional cook in the past, but now she worked on her husbands farm. She wanted a reminder of her time as a chef. The idea of cornucopia also had to fit in. It had to be a representation of the craft of cooking. Her daughter said: “there has to be an onion on it, my mother always uses onions in her cooking!”.

On the ring is a roast chicken on a platter that resembles a chopping block. On the chopping block is a chef´s knife, a sliced leek, salt and pepper, herbs and two onions. There are drawers on one side of the ring and a tea towel on the other.

She shed a tear of joy when she came to pick up the ring.
